Tell Us About Tarot Where You Live!

By Lalia Wilson

Related to a forthcoming article for the Quarterly Journal, I was wondering where our readers are located. I asked the editor who asked the membership coordinator and we both were greatly surprised. China has more members that the next three countries combined. In order the members are in China, India, Canada, and the United Kingdom. I’m not sure that this list is in addition to the United States or that the US is no more than fifth in membership of the American Tarot Association.

This brings lots of questions to mind:

How accepted is the tarot in your country?

Tarot has European roots that date back to the 15th Century in Italy. Is this a strange practice to follow if you are in Asia?

How available are tarot decks in your country? Do you have a wide variety of decks to choose from? Which are your favorite decks?

Do you have local friends or online friends who are also tarot enthusiasts? How do you see the tarot similarly? How do you see tarot differently?

You can comment here or, better yet, write an article. We would love to hear from you.
