June TarotScopes
By Lalia Wilson

Happy June and Cancer Solstice! In the northern hemisphere this is the Summer Solstice month; the winter solstice in southern latitudes.

All cards were randomized before these drawings, with four decks being used. We had three repeated cards this month, each appearing twice: The Fool, The Tower, and the Knight of Cups. This meta-message can be interpreted several ways. Let’s start with the Fool (who doesn’t know that he can’t do something) and the Knight of Cups who is foolish in love, thus sharing the Fool’s blindness. Together they suggest that many new starts might arise, but be cautioned by the Tower, who gives abrupt endings. Look very closely at new endeavors this month, and do not risk more than you can afford, whether love, reputation, or finances.

The Fire signs are shown by The Marchetti Tarot (2019) by Ciro Marchetti, available at https://www.ciromarchetti.com/new-tarot. The Earth signs are illustrated by the Mystical Cats Tarot (2014), created by Lunea Weatherstone, art by Mickie Mueller, published by Llewellyn. The Air signs are depicted by the Trippin’ Waite Tarot (2019) created by Christine Aguliar and James Battersby, and available at https://www.tarotcollectibles.com/store/p160/The_Trippin%27_Waite_Tarot.html. The Water Signs are shown by the Connolly Tarot (1990 and 2011), by Eileen and Peter Paul Connolly and published by U.S. Games Systems, Inc.

Hermit and the Ten of Coins (Pentacles):

Dear Aries, you have a lot of pressure on you from your career and public life, making you feel very alone. At the same time, high stakes are on the table financially, you could take home some big winnings or a pay increase. The money goes with the pressure in your life, which will be with you for a while. Any health concerns are unlikely to be serious, but do your regular check-up anyway.

Taurus:

The Fool and the Knight of Cups:

Dear Taurus, It’s the time of the year for you to be a bit foolish. Even you, the most steady and stable of all signs, is going to be trying new things… or maybe they will be forced on you. You are starting a seven year evolution of your values and possessions. You will be going more digital, and perhaps culling physical items. A new love affair, or a relative’s new love, will be a big change this month. (That new love could be some form of artistic expression, not just a person.)

Gemini:

The Moon and the Ten of Swords:

Gemini, well this month looks interesting in the ways that many of us avoid. Your career and public reputation has been directed towards the planet and people’s welfare for some time. You may have hit bottom with “compassion fatigue.” Yes, there are real problems that urgently need to be addressed. But you, dear Gemini, do not need to be the only responsible person. Find ways to share the burden so that many people can each do a small part of what needs doing.

Cancer:

The Hierophant and the Five of Cups:

Dear Cancer, your life looks interesting. If you have any adult children, they may be having a breakup or divorce. There is definitely strain between your children and creativity versus your friends and groups. The Hierophant encourages following the rules, but being creative is the best way to overcome this heartbreak, whether your own or that of a close friend or child. Use art to express your feelings!

Leo:

The Chariot and the Nine of Coins (Pentacles):

Dear Leo, you have some serious responsibilities, whether regarding your health or that of others. There is a lot of action occurring behind the scenes. Travel and a new (to you) vehicle are coming soon, probably next month. Take the time to enjoy some quiet and your earned rewards.

Virgo:

Virgo The Sun and the 8 of Wands Mystical Cats Tarot June TS 20190511 0001

The Sun and the Four of Earth (Pentacles):

Dear Virgo, things look positive. You have a repeat of the Sun, the indicator of vitality and charisma, from last month. A friend is encouraging you to step forward in life this month. Your concerns about finances are not realistic. You are basically prudent and as long as you remain that way, you will always have what you need. Fear is not helpful, as it is preventing you from moving into your spiritual path.

Libra:

Death and the Knight of Cups:

Dear Libra, there is a lot of stress between your public life and your home and family. This is even more true if you are self-employed, as your income is fluctuating. Some venture of yours may have reached its endpoint; you know what this is. Close out that path and direct your efforts elsewhere so that your stress is reduced.

Scorpio:

The Fool and the Ten of Rods (Wands):

Dear Scorpio, your partner seems to have gone nuts. Usually steady and nearly stuck in life, now this person is making changes quickly. Will you be the next to go? How open are you to letting your partner evolve to a higher consciousness and become a more successful person? You may feel worn out, but the trick to getting through this time is emotionally relaxing and letting natural changes happen.

Sagittarius:

The Tower and the King of Wands:

Sagittarius, it’s a big month of changes in the area of money and possessions. You may find yourself having to take on someone else’s estate, or finances. Suddenly you have to provide and plan for more people than you expected. Your energy is high, and your health is good. It will be a busy and fun month.

Capricorn:

The Lovers and the Eight of Fire (Wands):

Dear Capricorn, you are experiencing a lot of pressure, especially in your relationships. Go to your positive practices that control stress: exercise, enough sleep, visits with positive people. Solace can be found at the beach. I hope the beach, whether ocean or lake or river, is a leisurely trip. But some sudden trips are coming this month as well.

Aquarius:

The Emperor and the King of Pentacles:

Dear Aquarius, travel is highlighted this month, perhaps to see a sick relative. You may also find yourself writing about health. Things look bright for your creativity and for your children. You have the abundance you need to fulfill your obligations.

Pisces:

The Tower and the Nine of Cups:

Dear Pisces, how do you spell “vacation romance?” You are full of optimism and certain that all is right in your world. A wonderful romantic partner appears in your life. But indicators are that this relationship will be only for a season. How can you fully enjoy the connection and still keep your heart safe?

You can use these Tarot Scopes to read your Sun sign, Moon sign or Rising Sign (also called your Ascendant). You can determine these by using free or low cost apps, or internet sites, and inputting your time, date and place of birth. The Rising sign indicates your entire life; the Sun sign is about your ego and creative forces, and the Moon sign is about your reigning needs, emotions, and flexibility.

The tarot cards used as illustrations for this column are ones that I or the editor, Terri Clement, admire and want to share with you. Note that decks have subtle differences of meaning as they are reinterpreted by a new creator/artist, and, of course, the tarot reader. Enjoy that flexibility of meaning and the artwork of these various decks. Reading articles with illustrations like these will help you determine the tarot decks that most fit you. If you get bored seeing my favorites, I’m open to suggestions and gifts.
