Chariot (Knight of Swords)

Get ready for a turbulent ride this month as challenges seem to lurk around every corner. No matter what happens, you are ultimately responsible for your actions. Composure will lead to clarity; do not be driven into further trouble by reacting defensively or impulsively. The winds of change will likely blow many of your current plans into disarray. Don’t give up – simply take a breath and find an alternate path. You’ll discover unusual options amiss conflict, when you remain open. Be mindful of your of words, especially when provoked, or you’re likely to destroy a dear relationship. And, lastly, use extra caution while driving and don't practice road rage.

Empress (King of Cups)

The quality of your relationships is in question this month. It’s time to examine which ones are rooted in mutual respect and emotional generosity, and which are based on codependency and fear. To love someone is to trust and accept them while honoring your own needs. Your tendency to give is becoming a little controlling; there are hidden expectations masking your true expression of emotion. You don't need to perform to be loved. Ask for what you need. You may need to stop playing counselor or mother in order to relate authentically. The first week of the month is a great time to open up about your feelings with that special someone. Let yourself be loved.

Lovers (Queen of Cups)

A deeply emotional experience connects you to past memories in a way that may seem irrational and mysterious. You may think you are in control of your choices, but when you look deeper you’ll realize that most of your actions are motivated by subconscious feelings. Take inventory of your current relationships, home life, work, spiritual practice, health and finances. Notice how these areas relate to your state of being. Usually a mixed-up inner world translates to a mixed-up outer world. The result of which causes a load of unnecessary problems. To make conscious decisions is to be aware of the motivations behind them. Right and wrong are less as important as to the 'why's' of choosing . Take a closer look.

Wheel of Fortune (5 of Wands)

Changes and new opportunities are always available; however, to take advantage of them, you’re the one that needs to move toward them. Be honest about how your problems might be serving you by asking yourself: “If I didn’t have this problem holding me back, what would I be doing.” You may realize that what you’re really resisting is the responsibility of having the very thing you wish for. Ironically, problems are often buffers and excuses that disguise themselves as roadblocks. One problem might  actually be a solution for another. Stop spinning aimlessly and commit to a direction. The chance you’ve been waiting for presents itself around the 12th, so go for it!

High Priestess (9 of Pentacles)

Something is not as it appears, and although you think you see the whole situation, there’s more under the surface. Be patient and keep your hunches to yourself; the truth will be revealed in time. Even if you catch someone red handed, wait – they will tangle themselves in a web of deceit. You too will be caught if you are unscrupulous in your affairs. There is no need for proving someone else's guilt. Focus your feelings on what you can change in yourself and leave the rest to karma. By the way, this isn’t a good time for financial investments or big decisions.

 Judgment (5 of Cups)

Feelings of regret only block your opportunity to learn and heal. Not to mention, living in the past robs you of the power in the present. Mistakes are the fertilizer from which great accomplishments are grown. You’re not always going to get it right, but simply doing your best yields positive results because you remain true to yourself. While a loss around the 16th brings up feelings of failure, it’s important to allow yourself to grieve through the process. The stages of grief are: denial, bargaining, anger, depression and acceptance. Recognize where you are by giving expression to the associated feelings. Things don’t happen to us – they happen for us. Brighter days are ahead.

Star (Ace of Pentacles)

Faith is often misunderstood as blind trust in some unseen, omnipotent force. Wishful thinking motivated by longing or pleading in a time of struggle. Rather, faith is grounded in self- confidence and surrender. Faith that stems from self-assurance keeps you open to the possibilities even in the face of the unknown. Keep your intention focused this month and you will be amazed at what you manifest. This is no time to be passive. Channel your energy in a deliberate fashion. The last weekend of the month is an intense one; doubts may creep closer to the surface, but you have the power to put them to rest.

Hermit (4 of Pentacles)

It’s believed that life demands an active engagement - usually mistaken as activity.  Why believe that every moment must be filled with doing. After juggling relationships, work, and family, you often neglect the source of your power. Unfortunately, exhaustion becomes justification for avoiding deeper reflection, which results in feelings of indifference or depression. Instead of pushing these dark feelings away, regard this de-pression as a way of filtering out the superficial concerns of life. After all, you are constantly im-pressed with the cares and opinions of the world. Make time each day to contemplate. This will restore a deeper sense of  meaning  to your life.

Justice (3 of Pentacles)

Juggling too many projects can lead to sloppy errors, as can working without proper guidelines. Your work may be judged this month as being less than acceptable. Before getting pulled in different directions, it would be wise to finish what you’ve started. If you don’t, you might not be able to handle the consequences. Be cautious of learning institutions, certifications, and business logistics, and do appropriate background checks before investing time and money. This is also a good time to consolidate records and receipts. Don’t take any shortcuts with rules and regulations – Big Brother is watching!

Fool (3 of Wands)

Before signing your power away, check the contract thoroughly, both literally and metaphorically. Smooth talkers come in every form, even as your own inner voice. You will be presented with an opportunity that’s too good to be true and since you're feeling a little restless you might end up falling on your face. The urge to leap into unknown territories will have severe consequences at this time. It would be better to channel that energy into pursuing a new interest or hobby. This restless feeling should diminish by the end of the month, so hang in there and hang on to your money.

Sun (2 of Pentacles)

The various projects you have been managing will finally show signs of success; either monetarily or through validation from others. This does not mean that you can rest on your laurels just yet; some clever juggling will be necessary to keep things going. Be sure that by the 14th you have all your ducks in a row, or else what you’ve worked so hard for will not be as brilliant. Be sure to celebrate yourself. Take pride in a job well done. Might be some opportunities to gamble a little, so don’t be too timid to take a risk. This is also an excellent time for self-promotion, entertainment or competition.

Temperance (9 of Wands)

Balance has certainly become a buzzword, although its meaning is often ambiguous. The misunderstanding of this ancient concept is caused by the dualism of the mind. Balance doesn’t mean a little of this and a little of that, nor is it avoidance of conflict. It’s more closely related to the concept of cooking and the blending of different ingredients – experiences, opinions, thoughts, feelings and conflicts – to create a new recipe for living. Let your guard down and participate in this great experiment called life. Temper your feelings of resentment with compassion, fear with trust, apathy with curiosity, and idealism with practicality. Security is not balance but balance does create security.
