Sun (2 of Pentacles)

The various projects you have been managing will finally show signs of success; either monetarily or through validation from others. This does not mean that you can rest on your laurels just yet; some clever juggling will be necessary to keep things going. Be sure that by the 20th you have all your ducks in a row, or else what you’ve worked so hard for will fall apart. Concurrently, there are opportunities to gamble a little, so don’t be too timid to take a risk. This is also an excellent time for self-promotion, entertainment or competition.

World (2 of Cups)

A relationship will yield some interesting prospects that could change the course of your life, be it a proposal, marriage, baby, rewarding partnership, or perhaps a reconciliation that brings great healing. It could also be a profound connection with something that generates a new sense of purpose and direction: art, nature, spirituality or a humanitarian endeavor. Your perception of life will be affected by everything around you; make it a point to honor what’s most sacred and release the rest. Around the New Moon on the 13th, your magnetism begins to attract more than you may need. Be discriminating!

Hierophant (10 of Cups)

A situation in the family calls for a careful examination of your priorities. Although circumstances are emotionally charged, you must maintain a dispassionate view of things. Certainly family concerns take priority, but when they begin to interfere with other important obligations, you need to reassess. Your involvement in family matters may also distract you from accomplishing other tasks. Be sure to balance your own responsibilities with those of others; codependent behaviors will thwart your efforts if you’re not attentive. Be aware of legal matters around the 7th and don’t try rescuing anyone.

Devil (8 of Pentacles)

All work and no play will certainly not keep the devil away. Face it, you’re doing too much. Take an inventory of your priorities, because it’s likely that you are over-stretching to keep yourself distracted. Examine your affairs and be honest about how you spend your time. You may find that the job you’re in is stifling your passion. Rather than use responsibility as an excuse, express yourself and see what happens. Office politics around the 14th are likely to cause feelings of frustration. Do your best avoid choosing sides and when you’re feeling stressed, let go and breathe!

Fool (2 of Wands)

An idea you have been playing around with is ready for the taking; there are two options for beginning, so don’t be discouraged if your first attempt fails. No time for delay – the vision has coalesced into a manageable project. All that’s missing now is implementation. For those embroiled in a love affair, there is a surprise for you around the Full Moon on the 28th, hope it’s what you want! Be open to spontaneity this month and you’ll discover a new passion for life. People will be attracted to your enthusiasm and want to be near you.

Lovers (7 of Cups)

Relationships weigh heavily on your heart and mind: how to get out of one, and/or get in another; how to salvage difficult ones and honor important ones. If you consider that all relationships are reflections of you and your hidden aspects, you may want to look at how each person affects you. Ask yourself what their energy adds to your life — or what it deprives you of. It’s also important to respect your own boundaries and not lose yourself trying to please someone else. Look for a confession around the 22nd. This will quickly dissolve your illusions about someone close.

Hermit (4 of Pentacles)

It’s believed that life demands an active engagement - usually mistaken as activity. Why believe that every moment must be filled with doing. After juggling relationships, work, and family, you often neglect the source of your power. Unfortunately, exhaustion becomes justification for avoiding deeper reflection, which results in feelings of indifference or depression. Instead of pushing these dark feelings away, regard this de-pression as a way of filtering out the superficial concerns of life. After all, you are constantly im-pressed with the cares of the world. Make time each day to contemplate. This will restore the sense of balance in your life.

Temperance (King of Pentacles)

This month is a highly productive period for art, industry or home economics. You are full of energy and motivation and can make things happen. Whether it’s related to work or personal interests, as you put the pieces together, you’ll be amazed to see what happens. Solutions to problems seem to appear out of thin air. This is also a promising time financially. Use your unique talent for creatively combining resources, especially around the 9th. Be cautious though, your golden touch can be a lot of responsibility - focus on one project at a time.

Justice (4 of Swords)

A balanced mind is needed to make big decisions this month. It’s important to separate facts from feelings in order to see things clearly, and if you’re swayed too much in either direction, you’ll prolong this impasse. A problematic situation which arises at the beginning of the month will be resolved around the 28th, but until then, reserve your judgment. In business matters, issues of fairness will creep into the conversation. You may be admonished for incomplete projects. Be honest about what you can and cannot do. Trying to prove yourself only causes you more stress.

Judgment (5 of Cups)

Feelings of regret only block your opportunity to learn and heal. Mistakes are the fertilizer from which great accomplishments are grown. You’re not always going to get it right, but the degree to which you do your best will yield the most positive results. A loss around the 22nd brings up feelings of failure. It’s important to allow yourself to grieve through the process. The stages of grief are: denial, bargaining, anger, depression and acceptance. Recognize where you are by giving expression to the associated feelings. Things don’t happen to us – they happen for us. Brighter days are ahead.

Wheel of Fortune (5 of Wands)

Changes and new opportunities are always available; however, to take advantage of them, you’re the one that needs to move toward them. Be honest about how your problems might be serving you by asking yourself: “If I didn’t have this problem holding me back, what would I be doing.” You may realize that what you’re really resisting is the responsibility of having the very thing you wish for. Ironically, problems are buffers and excuses that disguise themselves as roadblocks. Stop spinning aimlessly and commit to a direction. The chance you’ve been waiting for presents itself around the 16th, so go for it!

Hanged Man (King of Cups)

A great paradox in life is that what you resist persists. In your refusal to accept a situation or person, you inadvertently commit yourself to the charge of that feeling. Emotions are full of energy and energy cannot be destroyed; it can, however, be changed. A seemingly hopeless situation around the 20th offers a catalyst for growth, but to take advantage of it, you must be willing let go of your defenses and excuses. There’s a lot of movement in this surrender, specifically pertaining to your perspective. Don’t look at things as a problem; look at them as a puzzle.
