I for one am happy to be putting November behind me and stepping into December. I am sure like many - I have already taken down my autumn - Halloween/Samhain decorations, and am looking forward to putting up my Christmas/Yule decorations.

The poem below gives us a nice reminder that spring, with it’s lighter and brighter days, is just around the corner.

“I heard a bird sing
In the dark of December
A magical thing
And sweet to remember.

‘We are nearer to Spring
Than we were in September,’
I heard a bird sing
In the dark of December.”
