TarotScopes

November 2016
By Lalia Wilson

You can use these Tarot Scopes to read your Sun sign, Moon sign or Rising Sign (also called your Ascendant). You can determine these by using free or low-cost apps, or internet sites, and inputting your time, date and place of birth. The Rising sign indicates your entire life; the Sun sign is about your ego and creative forces, and the Moon sign is about your emotions and flexibility.

I used a different deck of cards for each of the four elements. All cards were randomized. Even so, there were repeated cards. There were three Emperors, two Strengths and two Six of Cups. The Emperors point us to powerful men in the world, but also to the sign Aries currently occupied by the planet of Change, Uranus. The Strength cards speak to our power through love and virtue to tame the savage beast. Strength also points to the sign Leo. Then we have a wave of nostalgia with the Sixes of Cups. We all need and enjoy a trip down memory lane every so often. This is a good month for that.

Cards used for this reading were as follows. Fire signs: The Tarot of the Sevenfold Mystery by Robert M. Place. Air signs: The Mary-El Tarot created by Marie White and published by Schiffer. Earth signs: The Tabula Mundi Tarot created and published by M.M. Meleem. Water signs: The Cook’s Tarot created by Judith Mackay Stirt and published by Schiffer.

The Hanged Man and the Six of Cups:

The Hanged Man suggests a pause for you, dear Aries. Since you are a (Wo)man of action, this is difficult. There may be an underlying health issue at work, please consult a medical practitioner if needed. Also, a possible delay is due to your religious and spiritual views or values being in conflict. Are you being placed in a situation where you have to choose between two of your values? On the good news front, nostalgia, old friends and old lovers are highlighted. Take a literal, or imaginative, trip down memory lane. Thanksgiving is a good chance to renew old ties. Love and comfort look good for you this month.

Fortune and the Ten of Wands:

Does it seem that people are ganging up on you, dear Taurus? You could have put yourself into this situation, especially if you have too many lovers, spouses, and ex-spouses. If you work with people, then your problem this month will be too many people with different needs for you to satisfy. The good/bad news is that there is lots of work. A whole lot of work. And a raise or promotion may be forthcoming. As much as you can, Taurus, deal with the situations one-by-one and avoid setting yourself up for one lover encountering another.

The Emperor and the Knight of Cups:

Gemini has a reputation as a fickle lover. Unfortunately, this month, Gemini, you may play to this image. The Emperor may be one figure, and the Knight of Cups another. I’m hoping that the Emperor is not your new boss, as that will surely cause a commotion. If you are flirting with the new boss, Mr. Emperor himself, then don’t get caught in the stockroom with Mr. Knight of Cups, no matter how romantic and dreamy he is. If you are looking for love, your older brother or sister may have a friend who would be just right for you. Remember, Gemini, to keep things sane. You don’t want to sit down for Thanksgiving dinner with more than one lover at the table. (Unless all parties are in full awareness and agreement.)

The Hierophant and the Page of Swords:

Things at home look good. Are you getting a new kitchen or just a new appliance? You are busy learning something new. There is no need to be overly concerned about a friend or older sibling. That situation is going as it should. While The Hierophant is associated with the sign Taurus, and thus friends and older siblings, Taurus is also the sign of steady work, steady habits, and steady progress. Taurus can teach you a lot this month. Similarly, you have a lot to offer friends, family and all. As the natural nurturer of the zodiac, you, Cancer, should be a big fan of Thanksgiving. (And Christmas, next month.) Go ahead and enjoy putting on a production.

Leo:

Strength and the Lady (Page) of Cups:

Strength is the major arcana card associated with Leo. This suggests things are going your way this month, Leo! This is particularly the case for your pet projects, your obsessions, whatever your focus has been will thrive during this time. If you are looking at an investment or managing an investment, this will be a positive time. Then we come to love… emotional connections and messages are highlighted this month. Expect tugs at your heartstrings from family members. Things are looking good for your emotional life in general.

Virgo:

The Hermit and the Ace of Disks (Pentacles):

It’s looking good, Virgo. The Hermit is the major arcana card associated with the sign Virgo. This may indicate that you are in clover; living a carefree life of ease, comfort, and prosperity this month. Unlike other signs, the reclusive nature of The Hermit is fine by you. Now there’s more time for your special projects. It will be a month of steady progress, with one proviso. Some of you may have a budding new relationship with a younger man. Unlike many observers of human nature, I know that Virgos are just as lusty as everyone else. Let’s not put this quality on display this month, you might embarrass yourself. Money looks good.

Libra:

The Tower and the Ten of Disks (Pentacles):

Look for lots of activity this month. Your partner is going to be especially busy. The Tower is known for sudden events, sometimes called calamities, mishaps, and woes. This calamity may be a renovation of your home or business, or it could be an excuse to renovate. Capisce?  You wanted a redo, now you’ve got it. That was a hint. There is a strong indication that you are looking at something in your life, something important to you, but you are not seeing it. That’s a riddle for you to solve this month, Libra. Money is good.

Scorpio:

The Moon and the King of Pentacles:

What a mixed up month for you, Scorpio. Let’s start with a very uncharacteristic element, this month has a lot of your attention centered on yourself. Me, me, me. Have you mixed yourself up with another sign? Leo, perhaps? But don’t worry, as long as you can pass the baton to others when due. Not only are you rarely stepping into the spotlight, but you also have an extremely introverted, artistic, dreamy thing going on. If you are looking to become pregnant, everything is ripe. Then we have the man of your dreams, as the King of Pentacles is your natural compliment. He’s a master of the physical world, likely rich, a good lover and mesmerized by you. Unlike most of your peers, you want to stay home for Thanksgiving and do a little one-on-one entertaining.

Sagittarius:

The Emperor and the Nine of Cups:

This is a time of joy and luck for you, Sagittarius. (Not a shocker, because Sag is always expecting this.) Sweepstakes, contests, children, and their interests… all seems to be coming up roses. Any artistic work or performances are highlighted. You are in the spotlight. Here's the catch: anything that requires your talent needs to have your years of dedication to prepare for these accolades. You also are having two cross-currents. One is a pull from family. If there is a family member with a substance-abuse problem, prepare ahead of time for Thanksgiving dramas. What will you and other family members do, if you need to intervene? The other cross-current is secrets and manipulations going on behind the scenes. Since you are a straight-shooter, you may not even believe what others are up to. But believe it.

Capricorn:

The Emperor and the Queen of Cups:

Things at home are changing quickly. It may be renovating, redecorating, relatives moving in or out of the home. Whatever, there’s an element of chaos at home. You also have some justifiable concerns about a sibling’s health issues. Your ability to impact that situation is limited. Tell them you love them. Take time for them. Suggest complying with medical advice. You can’t do it for them, however much you would if you could. (Don’t other people’s problems always look so easy to solve?) The Queen of Cups is bringing you back to your own emotions. If you aren’t already working with your emotions by reflecting, meditating or creating art, you may want to give it a try. Emotions will find their way out, whether you give them a path or not. Friends are a big positive for you this month, Capricorn. Enjoy!

Aquarius:

Strength and the King of Swords:

Your career and reputation look fantastic this month, Aquarius. You also have good indications for travel, especially overseas travel. You are in the public eye. You have a focus on partners. Money is coming.  Expect money from legal matters, foreign trade or something related to education or religion. The King of Swords is your inner male guide or self-concept. He can be overly cold and rational. Let him guide you, but not be the ultimate decision-maker. Love is what brings us together and tames the wild beast.

Pisces:

The Star and the Six of Cups:

Something you have been working on is not yet ready to be revealed. Keep it quiet for now. Even more than usual, Pisces, you are feeling dreamy, intuitive, musical, languid, and artistic. If you have a traditional nine-to-five job this will be difficult for you, as your mind is in another dimension this month. Then we have the romantic impulses. Pisces, a romantic get-away is just right for you this month. Paris? Bermuda? Hawaii? That Six of Cups is wanting to re-create or rekindle an old romance… or an old romantic feeling. How can you make use of that energy?
