March 2010 Message from the Frolicking Fae

By Terri C.

Before sitting down to write the article for this month, I took a walk through my yard.  I noticed little green buds just barely poking out on my lilac tree, the mini-daffodils and tulips also have sprouted.  Spring is in the air.

Today happens to be a day off of school, so I have three very sleepy teenage girls milling about the house.  As a natural night owl, I enjoy lazy sleep in days.  My girls seem to as well.

With Brian and Wendy Froud’s new The Heart of Faerie Oracle coming out this month, I felt it was appropriate to revisit one of my favorite Faerie decks, The Froud Faeries Oracle.

This month try paying attention to the connections in your dreams.  Make note of the odd things or symbols that show up in your dreams.  Take some time and look up the interpretations of these items.  I like a fun website with a dream dictionary that seems to be “spot on!”  You can find the website at www.dreammoods.com.  You might just find that there is a significant message for you.  You may also find that there is a reoccurring theme.

If you are one that has trouble remembering your dreams, set your intention before you fall asleep.  Tell yourself that you will remember the important things that happen in your dreams.  Just setting your intention can make a huge difference for you.

The first part of the month, you may find yourself on a bit of an emotional roller-coaster.  Take a deep breath and hold on, remember this too shall pass.  If you have trouble feeling grounded, find someone that you can talk to.  This shouldn’t be someone that will tell you what to do, but someone that can gently nudge you in the right direction.  This should be someone that you trust implicitly.

You might just find that the more you try to do during this chaotic couple of weeks, the more things just stay the same.  This all should level out sometime near mid-month.  At about the same time, you might find yourself ready for that spring cleaning,  physically and emotionally.

It might be time for you to revamp your wardrobe by adding one or two essential pieces that can work with what you already have, making more than one outfit.  Experiment with color in your wardrobe.  Brighten things up, just a bit.

Creatively, it is time to express your self.  There is an idea that has been on the back burner for some time, but for some reason, you are not allowing yourself to move forward with it.  Take a few minutes and contemplate the idea, pay attention to the feelings and emotions that come to you as you are brainstorming the idea.  Focus on the feelings and emotions.  Examine why you feel the way you do.  Is there a blockage that you need to clear out before you can move forward?  Figure out what is holding you back and then remove the obstacle from your path.

Ask yourself, “What is the worst possible thing that could happen if I try ______?”  Truly, the worst possible thing that could happen is it doesn’t work out quite right.  However, you won’t know until you try.

The stone that I recommend either wearing or carrying for the month of March is the green Aventurine.  This stone is a general all around healer that promotes wellbeing and emotional calm.  It is a positive stone for abundance and bringing in good fortune.

As always, I hope you find that this message from the Fae helps guide you through the ups and downs of this month!  Remember to say a special little thank you to our Fae Friends for the guidance, insight and entertainment!

See you again next month and keep the faith!
