There are expectations that the world has on us. We who use the Tarot or any oracular device are often asked to predict the future. With the nebulous future out there to be discovered like some unknown land, they seem to think that we have a view into that land. There is a bit of a divide in the land of readers about fortune telling, predicting and prognostication. The professional must be mindful of legal and ethical issues of prediction but let's be honest who among us has not tossed out a spread, cast a rune or flipped a coin to see if we can determine what will happen in the future.

With the upcoming national election seemingly foremost in the national conversation, we here at Tarot Reflections had an idea. We wanted to poke a little fun and experiment with the idea of prediction. So are you one who makes predictions? Do you want to take a chance and see what you can do? Are you up to the challenge of predict the future?

This is an attempt to have a bit of fun. We are looking for our readers to consider how you would make a prediction. We want you to do your thing and let us know what you think! Are you going to use Tarot? What spread would you use? Is there another oracle you prefer for predictions. Who is your pick? Grab your favorite turban and give it a shot and see what happens.

During the months of September and October, we are taking submissions for publication on your prediction on the outcome of the U.S. Presidential election. We want to hear what deck or oracular tool you used and how you used your tool and then finally your prediction. Then compiling them for release in our November issue just before Election Day. So the deadline for submission is October 25th.

E-mail us your predictions and see how they match up with other! ATAsTarotReflections@gmail.com using subject line:  Presidential Predicition
