June TarotScopes
By Lalia Wilson

I use a combination of tarot, astrology and intuition to do these readings. If you know your Moon sign and your rising sign, read them in addition to your Sun sign. Enjoy June’s magic.

The Chariot and the Two of Wands:

It looks like you are experiencing the Big Squeeze between what your boss wants, the plentitude of work, and wanting some peace and quiet at home. There is a sense of high-profile here: you or “your work” is out in the public and more is expected of you. While Aries is usually a high-energy sign, with Mars retrograde this month and most of July, taking some down-time is wise. You have more work and demands on your time than you can handle right now. For your health, take a few deep breaths and find a way to satisfy your boss or public as well as experience the haven of your home. Not your usual Aries forecast, for sure!

The World and the Three of Swords:

Your fire-sign friends are beset with Mars retrograde, particularly Aries friends and family. You have just completed an important project and may have received a financial windfall. But all is not roses. To the contrary, you have a rival bent on seducing your heartthrob. The rival is a mean girl type, seemingly without conscience, who doesn’t acknowledge your relationship as a priority over what they want. So Taurus, it looks like your work life is rosy and your private life is a “learning experience.”

Gemini:

The Emperor and the Seven of Wands:

There is chaos around you that you don’t know about. People are keeping secrets and some are working against you. Concurrently, your spouse or partner is being as harsh and by-the-rules as possible. It seems like you cannot catch a break. Gemini, you are the master of communication, gossip, and workplace intrigue. Don’t cave! You’ve got this. Keep your own council and get the details as only you know how. You don’t have to be a victim here.

Cancer:

The Empress and the Knight of Swords:

Usually private and having an unblemished public reputation, this is your month for ill-considered dalliances, Cancer. There is a mixture of money and sex, could it be a workplace romance? I see the possibility of some kinky sex at work in a seemingly private spot. You need to meet this person after hours at a safer place for privacy. Keep in mind two things: birth control (don’t skip it), and stay away from video devices.

Leo:

Leo 6 16 001

The Moon and the Queen of Cups:

You have the Queen of Cups again this month, Leo. It is an indication of love, affection, insight and emotional fullness. With the Moon, you are verging on the irrational, which is not so bad as long as you consult a more “King” or “Queen of Swords” friend for advice before doing anything with long-term consequences. In general women are good guides for you this month, with the Queen of Cups on your side. Since Leo is the sign of will, you, yes, YOU dear Leo, are called upon to prevail over some of the general chaos you may encounter this month.

Virgo:

The Hierophant and the Ten of Pentacles:

It looks like money is abundant right now for you, Virgo. But, with the means you now have responsibilities. You can no longer claim poverty as an excuse to say no to providing monetary support for others. It may be useful to think of your “new” money as having a 10% tax to spend for relatives, friends, causes and your spiritual home. In particular, expect one or more male relatives to ask for a handout. Better decide in advance rather than be put on the spot.

Libra:

Libra 6 16 001

The Star and Knave Swords:

Your life is looking very nice. You have good relationships, harmony in the family and ample means. A special daughter or granddaughter, or other young female relative, is brilliant and moving ahead in her life. It is time to celebrate your and her achievements. Time to do a loving Libra overdose—roses, fancy dress-up clothes, champagne, and a night out at a luxurious place… maybe a first-class vacation. It’s all yours, Libra, if you choose it.

Scorpio:

Scorpio 6 16 001

The Emperor and the Seven of Wands:

Troubles this month feature workplace politics, and a possible pay cut, less than expected raise, or reduced hours. Going to work is getting to be a chore. There are some crazy types there, with nutty theories, and you have to listen to that sh*t all day long. Is it the political season, or are they always this nutsy? There is no one better at keeping things private than you, Scorpio. Let the crazy talk go over you and not get absorbed. Vacation time is very close!

Sagittarius:

Sag 6 16 001

The Hermit and the Two of Swords:

We usually think of Sagittarius as an out-and-about, gregarious person. Uncharacteristically, this month you are focused on work and management issues that you must handle by yourself. In addition, some projects started last month require your close attention with decisions only you can make. To further complicate your life, you feel pulled between friends. You really like hanging out with friends and this month you are forced to pay attention to career and family instead of enjoying the fine weather outdoors with your best buds.

Capricorn:

The Moon and the Knight of Cups:

Capricorns are usually the soul of propriety. They have a strong work ethic and are ambitious, thus wanting to avoid scandal and fraud. However, this month may provide some of the latter, if you are not careful. There is a “dreamy guy” in your workplace or life. Someone who seems to be the fulfillment of all your wishes. This person is no higher evolved than anyone else, but he seems faultless to you. Whether this is a matter of investing money, or having an affair, do a thorough background check. Ask your practical, reliable friends. Capricorn, you may need someone else’s advice, even though almost always you can figure things out all by yourself.

Aquarius:

Aquarius 6 16 001

The Empress and the Knight of Wands

Aquarius is usually remote from the relationship dramas of life, but this month offers a chance to dip into trouble. Your spouse, boss or significant other is pretty straight-laced these days. No spontaneous gestures of affection, or anything more intimate. And there’s an attractive younger man who “understands” you, lurking about. Unfortunately, this is about as ill-omened as an affair could be—it will end with acrimony in the not too-distant future… and it will become public knowledge. Think first, Aquarius—then think again.

Pisces:

The High Priestess and the Nine of Swords:

The High Priestess is good energy for you, Pisces. You are naturally inclined to the contemplative or spiritual path indicated by the Priestess. That inclination may be overdone this month, though, with your own negative thinking. Seeing the worst in possible futures is a guarantee of sleepless nights and anxious days. Do your best to keep that mind occupied with constructive tasks in the here and now. Building a water feature in your garden should work off some of that energy and add a spiritual oasis when it is complete.

Notes on the whole process and June: I do my best to be a clear channel for astrology and tarot. I follow several spiritual practices, and before reading tarot make sure I am in emotional equilibrium and do a reading for myself first, so that I don’t pick up items for me when I’m reading for others. (I expect most experienced readers have discovered that if they have a burning issue it will come out in client readings unless they acknowledge and dismiss their own issue.) For those reasons I am perplexed to have a number of duplicate cards, none of which showed up in my reading for myself: The Moon, The Emperor, The Empress, and the Seven of Wands. I used four different decks and all were randomized before drawing cards… In addition among the 24 cards drawn, there were also three of the four Knights.

So, generally, without regard to the individual signs above, we can say some things about June as a whole. There will be a lot of crazy types about, “lunatics,” and fighting, and anger. These would be predictable from the Moon, Knights, and Sevens of Wands. Also, expect powerful leaders, male and female, to work to stabilize things.

This does look like the American Presidential Campaign, with Donald Trump squared off against Hillary Clinton. However the cards speak to all matters: public life, private life, work life, relationship life, health and illness. May you find your way through the exciting times of June 2016.
